Walgren Company was founded in 1955 as a supplier of specialty chemicals and equipment to anodizers. Within a few years, the company incorporated Arnold Parker Inc. and began to engineer and manufacture plating and anodizing equipment. It quickly became a leading choice for OEMs and contract finishers who needed exceptionally reliable equipment, controls and material handling for anodizing, plating, and other finishing processes.
In 2005, Walgren commemorated its 50th year of service to metal finishers, and the successful installation of its 500th finishing line. In the decade that followed, Walgren maintained its leadership position as a designer-builder of turnkey finishing systems for industrial, aerospace and military applications.
In 2015, Walgren joined Price-Koch Industries as a division of George Koch Sons. The new entity, which has global reach across a broad spectrum of production scale finishing technologies, is today known as Price Walgren.
The complexity of customers’ needs has intensified over time, and companies often prefer a single, broadly-qualified partner when investing in finishing technologies. With the added resources of George Koch Sons, Walgren can provide the breadth of systems that manufacturers need to manage the most complex production programs.
In 2016, Price Walgren expanded into a new world headquarters campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This move provided Walgren's legendary base of repeat customers access to an expansive range of technological, administrative and financial resources.
Walgren is the company best positioned to provide integrated solutions that enhance customers' competitiveness through thoughtful automation, material optimization and efficient labor allocation.
